Where are we going with Big Data.

Almost every home at present has home appliances from noteworthy brands, at enough homes to give us enough data with which we can make tangible and near perfect predictions. By the end of 2015 we should be able to precisely deduce which washing machine a given customer will likely order. In the future the customers may not have to go to individual stores and check multiple brands and several features of devices to choose the final product. Big data analytic's will help manufacturers to narrow down their product offering as they know exactly which product the customers are gonna buy.

All the customer will have to choose will be price and the corresponding product will be delivered. Even the brand as a parameter may vanish as almost all brand offer products with similar features. With Big Data manufacturers will see which product is dominating and manufacture that on large scale resulting in its price reduction inturn more adoption and the versions of product if 10 now may become 2 or maximum 3 and eventually 1 resulting in one product or brand dominating the entire world. So far the business has been about variety of products, because we have no idea what consumers are gonna like and we have to make one with every combination and every permutation to stay on growth curve as Samsung is more eloquently doing right now.

And all this is at manufacturing because of which only at sales we will be able to deduce the products success. So we with our human learning capabilities are creating machines which will be able to help us deduce the success of a product before manufacturing thus reducing manufacturing cost at large scale and narrower category of products or must i say fine tuned predicted category of product. This will result in the time the average consumer spends in choosing a particular product thus liberating him to focus on better parts of his life.
